Journalism
For the last ten years I have spent a lot of my spare time writing for various magazines. From 2003-2011 I was the editor of ultimatemetal.com, a large online metal community and webzine. I recently had to step aside from this role due to time constraints.
Since 2004 I have also written for Zero Tolerance Magazine, at various points having acted as news, reviews and lives editor. I currently write the news section for every issue, and regularly contribute interviews with a wide variety of bands. More information about ZT below.
My journalism has also appeared in Felix magazine - Imperial College's newspaper, the Raw Nerve webzine, The Rumour Machine (a film website) and Golden Lake Productions, an underground printed zine. Furthery literary endeavours have included editing small book for November's Doom, released with the band's last album The Novella Reservoir.
In addition to music journalism, I regularly author popular science articles in the field of palaeontology, and founded the website Palaeontology [online]. More information can be found in the research section of this website.
