I grew up near Cambridge, UK, and now live in London with my fiancé. Since moving to London I have completed an MSci Geology, and a PhD in Palaeobiology, both at the Royal School Of Mines, Imperial College. You can learn more about my science on my research page.

When not busy with research, I enjoy journalism, playing/listening to music, watching films, running and photography. My tastes are varied; I listen to anything from extreme metal to jazz, with a healthy dose of electronic genres, rock, post-rock, classical, and myriad other styles thrown in. My taste in films is similarly eclectic; I'm a big fan of horror, world and transgressive cinema, but watch several films a week spanning genres from Film Noir and action, to silent films and dramas.
